The Omega Community Development Corporation serves scholars grades K-8 through Children’s Defense Fund Freedom School Summer Enrichment Program (The CDF Freedom Schools) at Fairview Prk-6 School.
The CDF Freedom Schools program provides summer and after-school enrichment through a research-based and multicultural curriculum that supports scholars and their families through five essential components: high quality academic and character- building enrichment; parent and family involvement; civic engagement and social action; inter-generational servant leadership development; and nutrition, health and mental health.

Community Impact
2018 Community Impact Report:
In 2018, our Freedom School Program served 93 scholars grades K-8. Throughout the summer we maintained an attendance rate of 90% which contributed to significant growth amongst our scholars. Pre-and post-tests were conducted to measure the impact of the program. By the end of the program, 85% of the scholars improved in at least one category. The test categories were Phoneme Segmenting, Word Reading Fluency, and Passage Reading Fluency.
