The Comprehensive Case Management
and Employment Program (CCMEP)

Comprehensive Case Management & Employment Program (CCMEP) is a program designed to help low income young adults (between the ages of 14 to 24) build career paths, find employment and break the cycle of poverty. The goal is to help participants identify career paths that pay a living wage that will allow them to make sufficient income to meet minimum standards given the local cost of living.

Referred participants;
The Omega Community Development Corporation CCMEP program does not accept self-referrals or walk-ins. As a subcontractor with the Miami Valley Urban League (MVUL), we receive all our CCMEP referrals directly from MVUL.
  • Between the ages of 17 and 24.
  • Are Work-eligible Ohio Works First (OWF) participants.
  • Active participation in the CCMEP program is mandatory for all OWF participants.

The CCMEP Program has been Implemented in all 88 Ohio counties, the basic CCMEP treatment involves;
  1. Assessment,
  2. Development of an individual opportunity plan (IOP) with access to 14 statutory services (e.g., employment services, training, education, mental health care),
  3. Comprehensive case management,
  4. One-year of follow-up after exiting CCMEP. Participant success is dependent on regular participant communication and interaction with case managers and a commitment to their IOP.

Program Completion Occurs;
Once the participant has obtained employment, enrolled in post-secondary education, enlisted in the military or been awarded social security disability. Expected outcomes include increased employment, training participation, vocational education and higher education, as well as reductions in poverty by addressing food insecurity, housing instability and mental health issues.

OCDC’s Workforce Development Program is comprised of three services.  When appropriate, after assessment, participants can be referred to one of the following programs: (Click on each title to learn more about that program’s services)
