Omega CDC received a 21st Century grant from the Ohio Department of Education to provide after school programming for students attending Fairview PreK-6 School at Fairview Commons.
The Scholars of H.O.P.E (Healthy. Optimistic. Prepared. Educated.) program is designed to meet students’ academic and social needs by increasing the amount of learning and enrichment opportunities and fostering a safer after school environment.

Workforce Development:
OCDC’s Workforce Development Program is comprised of three services. When appropriate, after assessment, participants can be referred to one of the following programs: (Click on each title to learn more about that program’s services)
The Omega Community Development Corporation Employment Program & Resource Case Management is a program that strategically assist citizens within Montgomery County classified as hard to employ by;
- Identifying any/all barriers from reaching educational, employment, and life skills goals.
- The client and the Case Manager, create a case plan to help eliminate those barriers.
- The client and the Case Manager meet once a week (via phone, virtual, or in-person) working to carry out their individual case plan.
- Every 3, 6, 9, and 12 months, the client and Case Manager evaluate and celebrate each goal that is met or re-establish new strategies for those not met.
Ready to Work:
The Ready to Work Program focuses on middle to low-income individuals and families in Northwest Dayton to address barriers which have traditionally impeded their access to secure and maintain living wage jobs.

A program designed to help low income young adults (between the ages of 14 to 24) build career paths, find employment and break the cycle of poverty. The goal is to help participants identify career paths that pay a living wage that will allow them to make sufficient income to meet minimum standards given the local cost of living.
