Sneak Peak into Omega Senior Lofts Construction Site!
|
The Omega Senior Lofts is under construction and is expected to open in Summer 2020. Vanessa Ward President of Omega CDC said "I was able to take a special hard-hat tour of the construction site, see the progress, and get a sneak peek for our followers and supporters." |
In Spring of 2018, the Omega CDC and MVAH Partners received funding from the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program to construct an 81-unit Omega Senior Lofts rental community on a 2.0-acre site on the property where the Hope Center will be constructed. The Omega Senior Lofts will consist of 62 one-bedroom and 19 two-bedroom garden-style units with energy-efficient features, full-time on-site management, a fitness center, business center and community room. The Omega Senior Lofts will target lower-income senior households (age 55 and older) earning up to 30%, 50% and 60% of Area Median Household Income (AMHI). Omega CDC anticipates the Hope Center and the Omega Senior Lofts projects will provide momentum for additional development in the surrounding low-income community.
